CLW readers are aware of the capture of the Federal Judicial Center by the ‘climate’ plaintiffs’ bar. FJC is by chance a creature of Congress. So is the National Academy of Science, which has also now joined up to assist the climate litigation industry.

Fortunately for the taxpayer and energy users, the Senate Commerce Committee has oversight of both bodies and has shown an engagement that, with the partnership of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, stands out among congressional oversight for its seriousness and focus.
Here’s to seeing that continue in 2025, as attention turns to executive branch reforms and reining in activist government.
