As CLW noted previously, Government Accountability & Oversight has filed suit in Washington State on behalf of Energy Policy Advocates. EPA’s press release with links to records sought can be found here.
The suit seeks release of memos relating to the “climate change” plaintiffs’ tort campaign.
Notice the scope of the request and the records which turned up, and are redacted often in substantive full.
Notice also the activist role played by NAAG (which activism led to creation of the Republican AGs Association). GAO notes that other public records requests demonstrated that the message was not in fact sent to all such AG officials, but only in select, let’s call them trustworthy offices.
The swiftness of Washington OAG to that petition is stunning. The fact that these were produced in response to that particular request is, CLW admits, fascinating. The idea that all of that, even citation to one or both of the parties, is privileged, is absurd.
